Con Man

Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion are teaming up once again to present a series that centers upon Sci-Fi conventions. An Indiegogo campaign was launched on March 10th and runs through April 10th, though as of about 3pm CDT on March 11th the initial goal of $425,000 was met to produce three episodes. They're wanting fans to have a hand in helping this new show find its legs, stating:

"The most important reason to use Indiegogo is that we have genuinely passionate, stalwart and powerful fans. We’ve even seen fans get movies made. We realized pretty quickly we ought to cut out the middle management and just get you involved as soon as possible. We’ll have more fun having you on board this early in the process, and we know you’d love to see what we’re up to along the way. Not to mention, sci-fi conventions wouldn’t exist without you. You built this world but you’ve only seen one half of it. You know the carnival, let us introduce you to the carnies."

The premise of the show is that Wray Nerely [Tudyk] was on a short-lived Sci-Fi show called 'Spectrum' and now attends conventions as often as possible, although he struggles to get steady work in his career a decade later. Meanwhile, his former co-star Jack Moore [Fillion] has hit it big and is a constant reminder of everything Wray wishes he could have achieved. Other familiar faces to watch for include Sean Maher, Gina Torres, James Gunn, Seth Green, Felicia Day, and Amy Acker.

Upon surpassing the initial goal, the stretch goals are (as well as perks for each):
  • $500,000 | Access to private Instagram accounts
  • $575,000 | One more episode; 'Spectrum' wallpapers and avatars to all funders
  • $650,000 | Digital 'Spectrum' comic pages to all funders
  • $725,000 | One more episode; collector cards expanded to four

As of 5:30pm CDT on March 11th the campaign had raised $706,384, and by 11:40am CDT on March 14th they reached the $1,750,000 goal, the amount needed to fund the entire first season - further proof that you can't stop the signal.

Now take the left corner and fold it over, but still leave sticky on the bottom.

Do that over and over again

Take of of those pieces and roll it

Take another piece and wrap it around the piece you just rolled.

Keep wrapping pieces around

You should have something like this
Take a piece and cut it or rip it .use these pieces to wrap around the flower to make cleaner edges

Volia!  You have a duct Tape rose!
For those who want to attach it to a pen or some wire. when you do the first roll, instead of rolling it  wrapped it around the wend of the pen or wire.

The Final Frontier

March 26, 1931 - February 27, 2015

Death: the final frontier. These are the voyages of Leonard S. Nimoy. His 83-year mission: to leave a lasting impression on those who admired his work, to be a loving son, husband, father, and friend to those around him, to go where a small boy from Boston, Massachusetts quite possibly never dreamed before of going.

Born to Dora and Max Nimoy, Leonard eventually began acting at the age of 8 in a neighborhood theater. While his parents advised him to seek out a more stable career, his grandfather helped fan the flames of his passion for acting. He went on to take drama classes at Boston College as well as the Pasadena Playhouse. He also studied photography at UCLA and obtained an MA in Education from Antioch College, where he would later receive an honorary doctorate. He was also recognized for his activism in Holocaust remembrance, the arts, and the environment, and also received an honorary doctorate of humane letters from Boston University.

Leonard appeared in a slew of shows and movies, with IMDb listing 134 acting credits, as well as 12 directing credits and 3 producing credits. However, he is likely most remembered for his role in Gene Roddenberry's 1966 television series Star Trek as the logical, straight-faced half-Vulcan first officer Mr. Spock.

In the past year, Leonard revealed he had been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which he attributed to his days of smoking although he had given it up nearly 3 decades prior. He spent a good deal of time on Twitter encouraging people to give up smoking and offering the opportunity for his fans to claim his as an honorary grandfather. He and his granddaughter also collaborated on an online shop called Shop LLAP which contain works by him and his family.

At around noon CST yesterday, his account simply tweeted his name, his birth year, and his death year as well as a short message from his granddaughter, Dani.

Leonard Nimoy is survived by his wife Susan, his children Adam Nimoy, Julie Nimoy, and Aaron Bay Schuck, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and his older brother Melvin.

So long, Mr. Nimoy. We have been, and always shall be, your friends.
